J.M.J.
Feast of St. Pius X
Monday, September 3, 2001
Dear Father [Last Name],
A little while ago you were sent an invitation to attend "World Peace
2001", an international conference of Fatima supporters, journalists and world
leaders - including bishops, priests, religious and laity - scheduled to take
place October 7 - 13 at the Sacred Heart University, located in the
heart of Rome.
As you probably already know, the purpose of this privately organized
gathering is to openly discuss and celebrate the special role of the Blessed
Virgin in the quest for world peace.
We are honored today to add our voices to those who are inviting you to
this distinguished event and we ask for your prayers for the realization of the
Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, Who has been given the great
responsibility of bringing millions of souls to God.
At a time when an unprecedented number of wars and armed conflicts
threaten the lives of millions around the world, this great congress for peace
could not be more important or timely.
Indeed, as the Holy Father has made repeatedly clear, world peace is one
of the most pressing issues on the Churchs current agenda.
Father [Last Name], we earnestly believe that this meeting is a unique
opportunity for all members of the Church, both clerical and lay, to stand
together in support of a true and lasting peace under God and His Blessed
Mother.
Even more importantly, we are convinced that "World Peace 2001"
offers us, as leaders of the Church, a tremendous (and all-too-rare) chance to
demonstrate our solidarity with the Holy Father in his long and often difficult
pursuit of peace, and his call to oppose the "culture of death".
His Holiness, at Fatima on May 13, 1982, said: "The Message of Fatima
is addressed to every human being ... This message is more relevant and urgent
today ... The Message of Fatima imposes an obligation on the Church."
The Pope, on May 13, 2000, before 600,000 pilgrims at Fatima, said that
the Message of Fatima is a warning about 1/3 of the stars (the clergy) being
dragged down from Heaven by the tail of the dragon. (Apoc. 12:3,4). (The
Popes reference to Apoc. 12:3,4 is further explained in the latest issue
of The Fatima Crusader.)
These things the Pope has said at Fatima and we can show our solidarity
with His Holiness and even more important, our devoted service to Our Lady,
Queen of Heaven and earth, by spreading the full Fatima Message.
Again, Father, we urge you to join us and other priests in Rome this
coming October. There is still time for you to become part of what will surely
be one of the most interesting and spiritually-uplifting events of the
decade.
We have asked the conference organizers to enclose another copy of the
"acceptance form" with this letter so that you may let them know of your
interest. Please send it back to them directly.
May Almighty God be with you, and may His Blessed Mother Mary bless and
protect you always.
Your brothers in Christ,
Monsignor John Esposito Father Paul Kramer
P.S. Enclosed is a World Peace Conference brochure giving a brief
outline about the topics and speakers. Also enclosed is a new booklet
"Gods Endorsement of Fatima", which confirms the Popes statements
that "The message of Fatima imposes an obligation on the Church."
P.P.S. Should you have any further questions, concerns, or suggestions,
please do not hesitate to contact us and we will ensure your concerns are
addressed.
